what is the best way to convince your parents to let you get a pet when your brother has allergies, no room for an out side pet, and your mom hates the smell of like hampsters etc. ? i really need someone to give me a good answer because i love animals.

shinyshiny asked: Seriously, I’d like a pet. My landlord does not allow dogs (I’m more a dog person than a cat person), so I have caved in to the notion of adopting a cat or kitten. HOWever, I tend to have a light allergic reaction (sneezing, but nothing crazy) to cats and was wondering if there was a breed of feline that might be hypoallergenic? Oh and I don’t want a hairless cat!

Anu asked: I feed my 4 month French Bulldog puppy Natural Balance Duck + Potato. I notice that he scratches his back paws and lower belly area quite often. He has a couple of small red spots on his belly. Could this be a food allergy or fleas? I have cleaned my house thoroughly and recently bath him and checked his coat and found no traces of fleas.
The pet food store recommended Wellness Venison + Rice food. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good allergy food or any other ideas?
Thanks!

I am allergic to cats but I love them more than any other pet. We couldn’t have a cat at our house because it affected my mom more than it affected me.
I am about to move out and get a place on my own. I feel the need to get a cat to keep me company and I miss having one so much.
I plan on getting shots to stop me from being allergic, the question is- how long do shots take? If the allergic reaction isn’t THAT bad around cats, would it just be okay to own one while I am getting the shots?
Please let me know!

My older bully (only 2 years old) has really bad allergies and we have recently had to pay about 1000 dollars for allergy tests and allergy shots. We are worried about the new puppy (3 months old) because of his probs. I am wondering whether it is cost effective to get insurance for her. I looked up the AKC insurance and the complete package was about 55 dollars per month.

My dog is near 12 yrs old, hard of hearing, poor eyesight, terrible arthritis, terrible skin allergies - but we love her and will miss her terribly. She takes pain medication and anti inflamatory and still appears uncomfortable.

Hey! My one smallest baby blue rat sneezes often; Is that normal, because their sense of smell is so strong? I never noticed my other two rats to do that… But then I haven’t had rats for very long. She looks healthy, she’s playful, her eyes are clear and bright, ears and nose aren’t runny or dull. So, I was just wondering if anyone had an opinion on this? Thanks!

insurance. I already know i’m allergic to cats, and I grew up with a dog, but I just wanted to make sure, before getting a dog and having to send her/him back if I was really bad around the pet, allergy wise.
Well, to be honest, I don’t have any friends who have dogs. One has pit bulls, but I’m too scared to go over there.
