Is it common that an asthma attack could happen and you just feel a little tightness and also lightheaded?

I have been a pet owner for quite some time. But i’ve noticed that when i visit my cousin’s house that is an owner of two short haired cats. They shed a lot. The fur in all over the carpet, bed, couch, everywhere!. I like to play with animals but when i stay over at my cousins, I end up tocuhing my face.
