My middle daughter is allergic to cat and dog dander. It is a skin allergy, not a respiratory thing. When we found out, we had to give our rat terrier away. My oldest daughter is an animal lover and I was wondering if others with allergies were affected by rabbits or guinea pigs and such.

Can someone help? Thanks.

The research I’ve done only mentions irritation of the throat and mouth, wheezing, etc. But is it possible to develop hives and itching on your back, arms, legs, but not have any irritation in your throat, mouth, etc, when you’re affected by a food allergy, such as soy?
Also, is it possibly a food allergy if the hives take a long time to go away, maybe a day or two?

Does anybody have any recommendations on the best way to clean carpets that have been affected by cats? My fiancee is allergic to cats and we are buying a home from a cat owner. We want to have the place professionally cleaned but don’t know the best cleaning service to get for this matter. Any recommendations?
