My puppy has allergies, and he coughs a lot. He’s been checked, has all his vaccines and he’s perfectly healthy otherwise.

My vet has recommended benadryl for his allergy cough, and I understand it will take a few days to start working. However, I wanted to consider alternative remedies, just to see if I can avoid having my pet on medicine for a long period of time.

Of course, please answer only if you have tested the remedy and it has not harmed your pet.

Do you need more sleep and more rest when trying to get over seasonal allergies or does it not matter, since you aren’t really sick?

I bought the ferret for my son, but it turns out I am allergic. It’s approximately 3 months old, is de-musked, has had its initial shots and is very personable. I have a crate, food, and bedding to go along with it. I checked with many orphanages in my area, but none accept pets due to possible children’s allergies. I would like it to go to a children’s facility or some sort of pet therapy program if possible.

My girlfriend just moved into a new apartment where there used to be a cat, and I am allergic to cats, so I feel like crap when I visit her. What would be a good air filter (not outrageously expensive) to buy to take the allergens out of the air? She had the carpets cleaned which helped somewhat, but I can still feel it when I go in. Any ideas?
