I’ve just always wondered. Back in 4th-10th grade, I used about 12 inlahers (or a little more) a year of the old albuterol white ones (which are currently banned). My parents never got me anything else for my asthma. I was allergic to animals with fur and just got asthma generally too. I had many extremely severe asthma attacks which i learned to tough out a few days, and my inhaler wouldn’t work at all. Like the start of the attack, I would gasp intensely for air for half a day to a day, and then i would gradually recover over the next few days by not moving. Oh, and i woke up multiple times a night from asthma attacks usually.

Now my asthma’s much better because I (my choice) joined cross country in my last 2 years of high school (crazy huh?). Nobody knows how i survived lol, but i finished every race i ran. Seems like running is my secret antidote somehow. ( i use only 3 inhalers a year now, mainly in the colder weather)

But i just always wondered if my asthma was pretty severe enough to where my parents could have, and should have done more for me.
