Ideally I would LOVE a DOG!! I live in the upstairs of a house, with a family. I thought about a hamster, or rodent of some kind, but i cant stand mice and rats enough as it is. . . I have a ridgeback and she has had an ear operation and has always been allergic to something and noone can figure out to what. Sometimes the scratching and biting is so bad she makes her ears bleed and cries out in pain. We give her some anti histemine stuff occasionally, other times we cover her paws with a sock. Her eyes also emit this mucus like substance ad we wach it out her eyes with some tea. Has anyone dealt with anything like this? What did you do for your pet? The vet is helpful but not really. The meds are expensive and she wants us to come in for a visit every 6 months at $200 a visit plus meds. We do it about once a year but we really would like to find a natural/organic way of helping her. Anything you can recommend will be greatly appreciated as we feel so bad for her and at this point i think we all feel impotent and are scared that her ear scratching will cause another infection and another $2,000 operation.

My dog has allergies and i was wondering if purchasing Pet insurance would be more beneficial then paying for treatments. Anyone know much about pet insurance and can share the costs and benefits that would cover some of the costs of the allergy shots?
He hasn’t been “professionaly” diagnoised yet…my friend who is in vet school (and works as a vet tech) told me that’s the problem and that I should look into Pet INsurance asap

So I’m looking for something that is unique, but small.

okay so i had just done a few questions on here and found out purina one is not good for my pitbull with allergies so why did my vet tell me switch it? so what is the best food for my pitbull with allergies and she could gain a few pounds to and what is the name of the food and where can i buy it? i dont tried champions breed, pedigree,purina and she dont like any besides purina and i heard its not a good food
