i am getting married in july-fiance is over dramatic regarding allergies and pets b/c wasn’t raised w/ them. he has a mother who will strap an oxygen tank on if she sneezes too many times. so.. i am not dealing with a ralistic situation. i have a short hair mini dachsaund ( wiener dog ) i had her 2 yrs. prior to ever meeting him. he dated me knowing this! sorry to trail off. i am trying to bubble proof my future home to physically make him comfortable. as for those who will tell me i am cruel to him.. he seems to have this gift of being able to turn these allergies on and off at his at his will. i have tried experiments and he has slept next to gracie the dog all night with no breathing issues and talked to me for 30 min the next morning perfectly fine until i pointed this out! so… to make our lives more comfortable, what vacum has a great hepa filtration system and a strong motor for picking up dog hair etc…? thanks so much?

I an NOT an Allergist, but I would think any one with a HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter would work well. Click here to Google:
Good luck.

The Dirt Devil Ultra Vision Bagless - My friends have this vac and 1 dog and 3 cats in the house. My husband is allergic (really allergic) to cats and most dogs and we can go over to their house and he doesn’t react at all!! It is $99.00 at Walmart. We borrowed it and it is fantastic!!!
Miele is another good one but they are very expensive worth it but around $300 -$400 new.
Good luck!!

Kirby vac is best…but it is not going to matter in dealing with a nut. Put the dog in another room or out of site like next door and say he is boarded. You will never win with someone of the mentality you describe. If it were a true condition, wahs the dog with dandruff shamppoo, people are allergic to dander, not hair.

Any good vacuum with a good filtration system, put at least a merv 8 filter on your furnace and put the guy on claritin, available at Sam’s Club under the generic for about $20 per at least a 100 count.

Any vacuum thats strong enough to suck up your fiance! Just kidding
Any vacuuum with a HEPA filter will do the trick. Also, concider having your air ducts cleaned once a year or everyother year and change the furnace filters every six months.
