Ask your vet. There is a foam product that you can apply to them that is supposed to neutralize allergens in your pet’s fur. I can’t remember what it is called.

There is a link to a product below but it is not the one I was thinking of so I haven’t used it. It is probably pretty safe though since you can use it on birds and birds are super sensitive to chemicals.

you can get a waterless shampoo to bath him. also, there are conditioners for your dogs coat just as for human hair. you might want to check with your vet to see about the source of his dry skin. is he allergic to something he is eating? I suggest a good brand of dog food without any food coloring. Try innova. it will help stop a lot of allergies. you can also give your dog distilled water rather than tap water.

I just went to Pet Smart and purchased a tool called the Furminator (a God send) I have an Aussie and a Westie and within 5 mins of running this tool over my Aussie I got a shopping bag full of hair and she loved it because it was just as if I were patting her…Go to the store and watch the video it is well worth the $65 this cuts down on the hair fly-away and is better for all in the house….I would suggest though to do this outside as it is nesting material for the birds as well as there was some static putting it in the bag……

you should take zyrtec. it is available over the counter. then you wont harm your dog.
