If you have allergies with many sinus problems, I swear by Alavert D. If it is just allergies, i recommend asking your doctor to prescribe clarinex. It’s wonderful because it is non-drowsy. Hope you feel better. I’ve lived with allergies all my life. So bad, that I also have eczema. I hate it.

Loratadine. It’s the active ingredient in some of the other over-the-counter antihistamine. It works just as well as the prescribed stuff. If you have nasal or skin reactions, it works on both and is very inexpensive.

All of the above are good. Honestly there’s a lot of good allergy medicines out there. I take Allegra. Just so you know though, if you have been on an allergy drug for a while, your body can get immuned to that one drug, therefore you may need to switch.

We almost had to get rid of our two dogs due to my husband’s allergies/athsma. I had to rush him to the ER at 2 am because he could barely breath. He now takes Singulair and he never has any allergy or athsma problems anymore. It’s pretty expensive and most prescription plans won’t cover it unless a doctor says they have tried at least 3 other options first (like albuterol inhalers or Advair). But it works wonders.
