8 strokes will kill you. Allergies can actually be severe and gets you into something call anaphylactic shock where your blood pressure drops and every organ in the body dies due to lack of blood perfusion, and that includes the brain. But it is not considered a “stroke” so don’t get too serious with her. He might be allergic to pets but it wouldn’t give him a stroke. Indeed he might get an anaphylactic shock and that’s much worse.

I’ve been treated for severe allergies for the past 60 years including pet allergies. I’ve never heard anything about allergies causing stroke and it sounds far-fetched to me. They can cause asthma attacks which is not that uncommon. (I’ve had half dozen asthma attacks.) I also know quite a lot about strokes. My husband has a severe on 8 years ago and I’ve been a mentor in the stroke community for a long time.
