I have asthma and I hate taking the steroid Albuterol and Flovent. I blow up in the winter cause thats when I use it the most, is there any other alternatives, such as home remedies for the attacks? or to prevent attacks?

There is no other inhaler for asthma attacks, you could use a nebulizer (bad spelling) but that is worse as far as symptoms are concerned. You can take singular as a preventive they used at first as an asthma preventive but now they use as allergies

Try Advair, it works wonders! You take it twice daily and eventually it will help you have less and less attacks by helping prevent airway inflammation. I’ve been taking it for a year and I hardly ever have attacks – before I would have them at least once every other week.

As far as home remedies, sit in the bathroom with doors closed and turn the shower on hot…the steam will help open your airways, but honestly, there’s no real “home remedies”. Asthma is a disease and it needs to be treated with preventative medication.
