I don’t get allergic to dogs or anything like that, I’ve basically had them my whole life. But the problem is is that I have guinea pigs which I love DEARLY, and I’m allergic to them! I get rashes below my chin, and above my chest. I don’t get bumps or anything though, I only get bumps from rabbits, which occur on my face. Does anyone know of medicine that I can use to treat these allergies?

I would start taking Zyrtec everyday. You can get the generic brand at walmart.

antihistamines should reduce the reaction to your pet. boots own brand is good.

Zyrtec one tab. every day.By the way it has been scientifically proved that those who keep pets dont have allergies to animals.I hope it is not any powder you put on your pets to ward off insects that is the cause. Please check.

There are alot of over the counter and prescription antihistamines you can use. Generic claritin and zyrtec works as well as the regular stuff, so go for the cheaper generic. If those dont’ work, you can get prescription medicines from your doctor. Allergy shots offer great relief from allergies and a chance of a cure. See a board certified allergist for more info on that.
